Changing US Crude Imports are Driving Refinery Upgrades

August 10, 2009

Praveen Gunaseelan, PhD, Manager in Exponent's Engineering Consulting Practice, and Chris Buehler, PhD, PE, Senior Managing Engineer in Exponent's Thermal Sciences, have authored an article entitled "Changing US Crude Imports are Driving Refinery Upgrades".  The paper appears in this week's print and on-line version of the Oil & Gas Journal.  The paper discusses the impact of heavy Canadian crude imports on the US refining infrastructure, as well as opportunities for gasification projects. The article is based on a paper they presented at the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association (NPRA) annual meeting in March 2009.

The paper is available to subscribers on-line. For more information, see the Oil and Gas Journal website.
