Dr. Karl Auerbach Installed as President-Elect of ACOEM

Dr. Karl Auerbach, Managing Scientist in Exponent’s Biomechanics practice, was installed as President-Elect of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) at the annual meeting of the College held March 28, 2011 in Washington D.C. Dr. Auerbach will assume the presidency of ACOEM in 2012.

Founded in 1916, ACOEM is the nation's largest medical society dedicated to promoting the health of workers through preventive medicine, clinical care, research, and education. Physicians encompassing specialists in a variety of medical practices are united via the College to develop positions and policies on vital issues relevant to the practice of preventive medicine both within and outside of the workplace.

At Exponent, Dr. Auerbach provides evaluation of injuries and medical factors for a wide variety of injuries and medical situations. He continues the practice of emergency and occupational medicine. He is board certified in preventive and occupational medicine. He holds an appointment as Associate Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Rochester. He recently retired from full time occupational practice as Associate Clinical Professor of Occupational and Environmental Medicine also at the University of Rochester.
