Dr. Brun Hilbert, Principal Engineer, will be a presenter at the upcoming one-day Shale Gas Drilling Operations (Fracking) Conference to be held on October 3rd in New York City. Dr. Hilbert will be presenting a technical overvew of fracking operations and risk in a presentation entitled "Understanding Fracking, the Potential Risks and Risk Management Concerns"
Hydraulic fracturing is a well stimulation operation in which fluids are pumped through a well to low-permeability formations at sufficiently high pressure to create new fractures in rock, or to open existing natural fractures, so that greater volumes of oil or natural gas can be produced.
Presented by HB Litigation Conferences in collaboration with West LegalEdCenter, a Thomson Reuters business, the Shale Gas Drilling Operations (Fracking) Conference is designed for the practitioner seeking to expand knowledge in the changing and controversial field of shale gas drilling.
Exponent has a broad range of technical expertise, including an understanding of petroleum engineering, fluid composition, and potential environmental and human health consequences of releasing hydraulic fracturing fluids. Our consultants have significant experience working in and consulting for the oil and gas industry, and understand both the technical and operational aspects of the issues.
