March 25, 2011
On April 12, 2011, the University of Massachusetts Lowell's Nanomanufacturing Center of Excellence and Center for High-rate Nanomanufacturing, Day Pitney LLP and Bluewater Consulting will host their First Annual Collaborative Conference: "The Next Small Step for Mankind – Nanotechnology's Journey to Commercialization."
The journey from laboratory to marketplace poses unique challenges for nanoenabled products, including a complex environment with an evolving regulatory landscape, a sluggish economy that has made obtaining investment capital and financing difficult, and a hypercompetitive marketplace where consumers may not yet be aware of the benefits of nanotechnology. This conference will unite representatives from the academic, business, legal, finance, professional services, and economic development arenas to provide a variety of perspectives on nanotechnology's journey from the research lab to commercialization.
Who Should Attend
This conference is for high technology and nanotechnology business representatives, entrepreneurs, regional and community economic development leaders, elected and appointed governmental policy-makers, lawyers, educators, and business and engineering undergraduate and graduate students.
