This flu season presents unique challenges to the real estate industry. The H1N1 virus, commonly referred
to as “swine flu,” has developed into a pandemic, dramatically affecting businesses in the US. According to
the Harvard School of Public Health, 80% of companies are not adequately prepared to deal with this.
A team of experienced professionals has been formed specifically to help the real estate industry effectively
deal with this pandemic. They will present the medical issues and explain how this virus differs from
seasonal influenza, offer low-cost changes to HVAC systems that can be implemented immediately and
recommendations for long-term modifications, explore building practices and policies to control the spread
of the virus and protect employees, and discuss legal strategies to minimize potential liability from tenants
and third parties. A roundtable discussion will follow, providing opportunities for attendees to share best
practices.

This seminar will benefit managers, owners, and tenants of commercial properties, residential properties,
hotels, and public buildings.
