Exponent will be presenting at the Heart Rhythm Society Annual Meeting, "Heart Rhythm 2009," taking place at the Boston Convention Center, Boston, MA, May 13-16, 2009. Heart Rhythm 2009 will welcome attendees from more than 75 countries worldwide and offer more than 200 educational opportunities in the area of cardiac arrhythmias.
Exponent Vice President Dr. Steven Kurtz will be delivering a podium presentation entitled, “Fourteen-Year Trends in Pacemaker Implantation in the United States.” This presentation focuses on the trend of steady growth in the use of dual chamber and biventricular pacemakers in the US, with a concurrent decrease in the implantation of single chamber pacemakers. These trends bear scrutiny, given increased costs of both dual chamber and biventricular pacemakers.
