Exponent Presents at the 7th LNGTech Global Summit

December 11, 2012

Exponent Principal Engineer Dr. Trey Morrison presented a workshop on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility hazard and consequence analysis to a packed house at the 7th LNGTech Global Summit at the World Trade Center in Rotterdam, Netherlands on December 3. The ongoing growth of LNG domestically and internationally is partially due to its nature as a cleaner energy source now and for the future as well as the increase in the North American supply of shale (i.e., unconventional) gas. Natural gas can be liquefied then shipped from supplier regions to demand regions anywhere in the world.

Exponent’s LNG Team of engineers led by Dr. Harri Kytömaa has extensive experience and expertise at identifying and analyzing potential hazardous release scenarios for LNG operations. Exponent’s skills can help fill the need for risk assessment for facilities from the concept stage through design stage. Dr. Morrison and Dr. Kytömaa will be presenting similar workshops at the upcoming 2013 LNG 360º Latin America & Caribbean Forum , at the St Regis Houston Hotel in Houston on January 15th-17th, and at the 2013 MENA LNG Terminal Summit, at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel in Manama, Bahrain on January 21st-22nd. Principal Scientist Joseph Scire, the leader of Exponent’s air quality modelling team, will also be presenting a workshop on evaluating and understanding air quality issues with LNG operations at the MENA LNG Terminal Summit. If you would like more information about these conferences, the workshops, or Exponent’s LNG capabilities, please contact Exponent.
