Dr. Walt Shields, Principal Scientist and Practice Director for our Environmental and Earth Sciences Practice, will be one of the presenters at an upcoming CLE webcast sponsored by the Defense Research Institute's  Toxic Torts & Environmental Law Committee. “How Low Can the Regulators Make You Go: The Dilemma Posed by Cleanup Standards that Are Lower Than ‘Background’” is scheduled for Tuesday September 21^st at 2 pm Eastern.  This webcast provides an update on recent regulatory initiatives that will likely lower environmental cleanup standards for a variety of chemicals.  The course will describe the importance of obtaining reliable background concentrations and how that data can be properly used.
