Exponent Engineer Appointed by ANSI as the US representative to the International Standards Organization Committee on LNG

Dr. Harri Kytomaa, Vice President and Practice Director, Thermal Sciences has been appointed by the American National Standards’ Institute (ANSI) as the US representative to the International Standards Organization (ISO) committee to develop guidance on performing risk assessments in the design of onshore LNG terminals including marine facilities (ISO TC67- WG 10). An objective of the committee is to provide a road map (framework) for performing safety and risk assessments in the planning and design phases of onshore LNG terminal projects to ensure that key issues related to safety are addressed at the right time to provide basis for the different decisions to be made at the different project stages.
