Mr. Kuhn addresses issues related to mechanical design, automotive engineering, vehicle subsystem integration, and vehicle testing and design validation. Mr. Kuhn is highly experienced in the design, development, and testing of chassis components including steering, suspension, mounts, controls, structures, and exhaust systems for automotive and SUV applications. Mr. Kuhn also has a strong background in computer-aided engineering including linear stress analysis, CAD, and kinematic and dynamic simulation of mechanical systems.

Parmeshwar L. Shrestha, Ph.D., P.E.
Managing Engineer, Hydrology & Atmospheric Sciences

Dr. Parmeshwar L. Shrestha is a Managing Engineer in Exponent’s Hydrology & Atmospheric Sciences practice and is based in Irvine, California. Dr. Shrestha has over 20 years of experience in the field of water resources and environmental engineering, with primary experience in the area of hydrodynamic and sediment transport modeling in bays, estuaries, wetlands, rivers, and lakes. He is familiar with the development and application of finite element (RMA series of models) and finite difference models (ECOMSED, EFDC) for hydrodynamic and sediment transport modeling (both cohesive and noncohesive) and inherent physico-chemical processes.

Gary T. Yamaguchi, Ph.D.
Managing Engineer, Biomechanics

Dr. Gary T. Yamaguchi is a Managing Engineer in Exponent’s Biomechanics practice and is based in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Yamaguchi specializes in the biomechanics and biodynamics of human injury, including rigid body dynamics, human movement, accident reconstruction, mechanical design, and rehabilitation engineering. His work includes analyses of traumatic injuries associated with transportation, the workplace, falling, recreation, consumer products, and the design and development of orthoses, prostheses, and rehabilitative equipment. His research activities include the development of three-dimensional human musculoskeletal models for analysis and prediction of stresses on muscles, tendons, and joints.
