For over 25 years, Betsy Natz has been actively involved in both research and business development, specializing in assisting companies and trade associations in a broad array of regulatory, scientific, and risk management issues relating to foods, chemicals, pesticides, and consumer products. In her role as Senior Manager, Health Policy at Exponent, Ms. Natz is responsible for identifying and securing participation in long-term research initiatives for new and emerging health concerns affecting the industrial chemical industry.

Most recently, Ms. Natz served as the Executive Director of the Formaldehyde Council Inc. (FCI) working to bring sound, science-based regulations and objective legislative decisions concerning the health effects of formaldehyde. In this role, she focused on creating opportunities for collaboration and strengthening alliances with individuals and groups on Capitol Hill, the White House, and its many Federal regulatory agencies, NGO’s, and international stakeholders interested in the programs, and policies pertaining to public health.

Ms. Natz’s previous experience includes working for the US Food & Drug Administration as a Senior Policy Advisor, as well as serving as the Executive Director of the Styrene Information and Research Center (SIRC). She has also held positions in the Office of US Senators Frank Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Jack Danforth (R-Missouri), with Smith Bucklin Associates, and in the Office of President-Elect Ronald Reagan. Ms. Natz is a graduate of American University.
