What can you expect to experience, and how can you best
prepare for your interview with Exponent?
We interview both senior- and junior-level technical staff
throughout the year. The interviewing process is crucial in
determining whom we place in available positions. At Exponent
we are looking for candidates who possess not only outstanding
professional and/or academic credentials, but also a strong
desire to succeed in a fast-paced, intellectually driven organization.
To help you prepare for a successful interview at Exponent,
we offer the following suggestions:
| |
Before your interview, think about what your ultimate
career goals are and how this position may help you reach
them. At Exponent, we look for ambitious people who know
in which direction they are headed. |
| |
Remember, you will be interviewing us as well. Find
out all you can about us on our website prior to your
interview. We welcome questions. |
| |
Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to complete an application. |
| |
Bring extra copies of your resume, and a list of references.
In addition, new college grads may be required to provide
a copy of their transcript(s) (an unofficial copy will
suffice). |
| |
Be prepared to give a presentation to a small group
of Exponent staff. If you have prior consulting experience,
we would like to see an exciting project you have worked
on. If you are a new college grad, you can impress us
with your thesis or dissertation project. Presentations
should be 30-45 minutes in length. |
| |
You will likely be meeting several different people
in various levels in our organization. Plan on spending
half of a day to a full day interviewing with our technical
staff. |
| |
At Exponent we foster a professional environment. Please
come to your interview dressed accordingly. This is your
chance to impress us with your talents, education, and
professional attitude. |
| |
Be yourself! This is the most important thing we look
for in an interviewee: someone with poise, confidence
in oneself, and a genuine desire to succeed within Exponent. |
