
Ms. Cappa applies her food and chemical regulatory experience with the EPA and FDA to the area of occupational health and worker safety. She works on a wide variety of occupational exposure and risk assessment projects as well as regulatory compliance activities. She is skilled in researching diverse topics including disease states and treatment options, hazards associated with exposure to various chemical substances, and applicable federal guidelines.
From 2007–2009, Ms. Cappa worked for Exponent in the Center for Chemical Regulation and Food Safety. Ms. Cappa participated in a wide range of chemical and food regulatory projects involving the U.S. EPA Office of Pesticide Programs and the U.S. FDA. She has worked on numerous short and long term projects including dietary risk assessments and regulatory submissions to both state and federal environmental agencies. Ms. Cappa was also responsible for performing dietary exposure assessments as well as ground and surface water contamination research and modeling. In addition, she researched various compounds for dietary intake estimates, and coordinated panel discussions and dossier submissions for new food additives.
