Exponent to Announce Fourth Quarter and Fiscal Year 2005 Results

MENLO PARK, CA, January 12, 2006 – Exponent, Inc. (NASDAQ: EXPO), today announced that it would release financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended December 30, 2005, immediately following the close of the market on Thursday, January 26, 2006.  The Company will host a corresponding conference call and live webcast at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time/ 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time.  Michael Gaulke, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Richard Schlenker, Chief Financial Officer, will discuss the results.
