Mr. Oszewski has over 36 years of professional experience in the nuclear industry as a consultant and manager. As a consultant, he has performed and led assessments and evaluations addressing nuclear industry issues and/or demonstrating compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations. For example, he was a member of the team leading the implementation of a performance improvement plan for a utility nuclear generating unit. As a result of implementing that plan, the plant was removed from the NRC “Watch List” and successfully resumed operation. In addition, he managed and performed licensing re-baseline assessment projects for two U.S. nuclear units. He testified before the NRC Atomic Safety and Licensing Board at a Construction permit hearing, and he developed testimony on licensing issues for a Public Utility Commission prudency rate case hearing. In addition to his work in the nuclear industry, he has performed assessments and made recommendations for reliability improvements at fossil fueled electric generation plants. He has also performed due diligence technical assessments of more than a dozen European generation plants for potential sale/lease-back transactions with American investors. These assessments included evaluations of the plant maintenance programs. As a senior general manager, he had balance sheet and P&L responsibility for a $25 MM regional office providing engineering services to the electric utility, industrial and public sector clients in the Western United States. As the head of the mechanical engineering practice for that same company, he was responsible for hiring, development, and training for 200 employees in 11 offices nationwide.
