Ms. McCarty has more than 25 years experience in domestic and international pesticide and industrial chemical toxicology, which she applies to an array of situations. Ms. McCarty specializes in the design, conduct, and interpretation of toxicology studies ranging from acute to chronic, developmental, reproductive, neurotoxicity, and developmental neurotoxicity. She develops and manages toxicology programs, including testing and monitoring for submissions to the U.S. EPA, EU, and Japan, for new pesticides and other programs to support continued registration of existing products. The studies that she oversees are conducted in accordance with the Good Laboratory Practice Standards (GLPs) requirements of the various regions. Ms. McCarty conducts scientific reviews of data, develops new testing strategies, and prepares position papers to address regulatory questions about interpretation of toxicological data. She works closely with the risk assessors to determine the point of departure for risk assessments. Ms. McCarty has also conducted risk assessments for routine and unusual exposure scenarios. She helps clients respond to toxicology issues and to find solutions to the challenges at hand.
