Mr. Gaudy specializes in project management and controls. His more than 5 years of experience with this type of work includes the management of complex engineering and construction data systems for a wide variety of industries including Refining, Utilities, Oil and Gas, and Transportation and Logistics. Mr. Gaudy has configured and run enterprise project management (EPM) systems including full implementations of Primavera and MS Project Server. He specializes in identifying and automating processes through the use of electronic solutions that help to increase overall efficiency and transparency in the project controls process. He has extensive experience in database tools including the development of programming in MS VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).
Mr. Gaudy has leveraged his knowledge of these tools, in conjunction with his experience with developing and implementing project control systems, to further augment existing systems with repeatable workflows and self-refreshing customized reports that can help to integrate and improve an organization’s functions and increase the overall likelihood of success associated with large scale project controls implementation.
As a project controls analyst, Mr. Gaudy has been responsible for gathering business requirements from project managers, using the information gathered to analyze where existing processes are failing and identifying the root-cause of the failure. Once a failure has been identified, he has worked with clients, at the decision maker level, to develop prototype solutions and alternatives that can be used to address the failure and help establish next steps. Mr. Gaudy also has extensive experience explaining complex concepts to users at a variety of levels including conducting training related to all aspects of project control systems and documenting his solutions in detailed user manuals.
Mr. Gaudy’s project scheduling experience includes defining and validating project plans, developing work estimates, evaluating activity dependencies and calculating earned value. He has also scheduled projects utilizing the critical path method, established standardized work breakdown structures, and collected project progress and updated schedules appropriately. While managing project schedules, Mr. Gaudy has analyzed progress trends, investigated budget overruns, researched project variances and their causes, and has integrated multiple project plans into a single program level plan. He has also developed numerous project controls related reports that were used to evaluate and track monthly cashflow, materials, expenditures, plan vs. actual cost and schedule, capital vs. expense spending, weekly status reports and role-based dashboards.
Mr. Gaudy has been responsible for reviewing and maintaining project documents including risk registers, issue logs and other document types typically encountered on a project. He has also developed repeatable project management processes that can be used to improve the overall accuracy and efficiency during project execution including time keeping, progress meetings, change requests and the management of corrective actions. His project coordination experience also includes closing-out audit items amongst cross functional project teams, managing document repositories, following up on internal and external requests, and collecting expenditures from various billing sources.
Mr. Gaudy is experienced with Eclipse, a complex integrated development environment (IDE), using Java. He is also fluent in written and spoken Arabic.
