
At Exponent, Mr. Lockett has performed various literature searches and reviews on issues relating to occupational and consumer exposures. Mr. Lockett has also performed quality checking activities and prepared spreadsheets, graphs, presentation slides, and Mathematica notebooks.
Prior to joining Exponent, Mr. Lockett attended the University of Michigan, where his concentration was environmental fate and transport. As part of his work, Mr. Lockett investigated the atmospheric chemistry, transport, and human health implications of secondary organic pollutants and tropospheric ozone in the Los Angeles Basin. Mr. Lockett also worked with the University of Michigan Biological Station, where he investigated the effects of road crossings on aquatic biota by performing various water quality tests and habitat assessments around Douglass Lake and its tributaries in Pellston, Michigan.

Provided support for asbestos-related litigation. Tasks included reviewing case-specific material, performing literature reviews and research on exposure and epidemiology issues, and assisting in creating presentations for use in a courtroom setting.
Compiled and analyzed literature on the relative risk of asbestos-related disease in different professions, including automobile mechanics, construction workers, and other occupations.
Compiled and analyzed literature on congeners of polychlorinated biphenyls and lead concentrations in soil, uptake in plants, and consumer products.
