Water and Wastewater — Water quality of drinking and recreational water. Review of the design and maintenance of facilities, quality control programs, health allegations and complaints, and risk assessments. Engineering and microbiological consultation on pools and spas, as well as water quality issues related to food and beverage production.
Medical Equipment and Facilities Contamination — Site assessment (sample collection), risk assessment, and consultation on remediation or risk reduction related to microbiological contamination. Compliance consultation on the OSHA blood-borne pathogen standard.
Work Environments and Microbiological Concerns — Indoor air quality (molds, bacteria, and viral disease spread such as Legionella, hepatitis, and MRSA [methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus]). Also includes hospital and clinical settings.
Public Health and Public Controls for Disease Reduction and Disease Spread Intervention — Agency relationships, permitting, and site risk assessments. Corporate and government pandemic and epidemic planning, and corporate risk management, for agents such as avian influenza and NORO virus disease.
Center for Microbiological Initiative Staff — Ph.D.s in public health, microbiology, parapsychology, environmental engineering, biostatics, epidemiology, and food sciences.
We offer significant experience with regulatory agencies, including FDA, WHO, state health departments, USDA, OSHA, and CDC. We also have expertise in veterinary epidemiology. In addition, Exponent employs medical doctors with training in infectious diseases and public health.
