Ms. Borissova has 11 years of experience in the application of air quality models such as CALPUFF, AERMOD, and BLP as well as SACTI, a cooling tower dispersion model, and EDMS, a model used by the U.S. FAA to assess the impact of airport emissions sources. Her experience also includes interpreting and visualizing model results and performing model evaluations. She has a particular interest in research studies and data analysis and worked on the development of NO2/NOX ratios from the analysis of hourly observation data and sensitivity studies of sources types and surface roughness in the AERMOD and CALPUFF models. Ms. Borissova has been responsible for maintaining meteorological data sets from meteorological forecast models such as ETA, RUC, and MM5, as well as monitoring data and surface meteorological observations. She has developed utility codes for meteorological analyses and investigated various strategies for meteorological modeling. Ms. Borissova has also developed a method for separation of radar backscattering signals with similar statistical and geometric characteristics.

Calculated NO2/NOX coefficients for using hourly observation data from monitors. Calculations were done for both short-term and long-term averaged concentrations. The sensitivity to land use was studied as well as periodicity of the observed concentrations. Conducted air quality modeling, using AERMOD, for an aluminum reduction plant in Louisiana. The evaluations included comparisons with National Ambient Air Quality Standards, Significant Impact Limits, and Prevention of Significant Deterioration increments for different scenarios. Conducted meteorological and geophysical data preparation, as well as air quality modeling, for an aluminum facility in Saudi Arabia. Prepared meteorological data for air quality modeling of a graphite manufacturing facility in the southeast United States.
