In August 1998, Exponent assisted the American Bar Association's Litigation Section in the mock trial, "Litigating the Titanic: The Original and Greatest Disaster of This Century." Exponent provided expert testimony for the plaintiff. Our trial team used historically accurate information, line drawings obtained from Harland & Wolff, copies of ship blueprints, and transcripts from hearings conducted immediately following the tragedy. Using this information, we developed our theories regarding alleged design defects. We also employed sophisticated trial technology to demonstrate the facts of the case, as well as illustrate our theories.
