
Ms. Schwarz is experienced in carrying out environmental exposure assessments for biocides and industrial chemicals.
Ms. Schwarz previously worked for the Umweltbundesamt GmbH (Environment Agency Austria) where she was responsible for the environmental exposure assessment of industrial chemicals and biocides. She was involved in the preparation of Competent Authority Reports according to Directive 98/8/EC and participated in the Biocides Technical meetings on behalf of the Austrian Competent Authority. She also worked on the environmental hazards classification and labelling of substances and mixtures under Directives 67/548/EEC and 1999/45/EC as well as under Reg. (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP-Regulation) and participated as a trainer in workshops for industry and regulatory authorities.
She also has experience as a short term expert in Twinning Projects and was involved in projects for identification of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), where she focused on PBT Substances on behalf of the Austrian Competent Authority.
Ms. Schwarz also worked as Scientific Assistant for Nufarm, where she was involved in environmental risk assessment for plant protection products according to 91/414/EEC.
