For more than 35 years, Exponent has provided superior engineering and scientific consulting services nationwide. The full range of Exponent's 70+ disciplines can be accessed through any of our offices. Exponent has been serving clients from its Phoenix facility since 1985.

Phoenix is home to Exponent's 147-acre Test and Engineering Center (TEC) where tests, analysis, and accident reconstruction is performed. We have a staff of technical and support professionals in Phoenix with expertise in diverse technical fields.

Exponent's Vehicle Engineering practice performs design analysis, vehicle crash testing, component testing, and accident reconstruction services to clients when they are developing new automotive products, are facing unexpected performance issues, or are seeking information on how an accident occurred. We have expanded our vehicle engineering capabilities to include hybrid architecture, electronic continuously variable transmission (eCVT), hybrid vehicle energy storage system, and related technologies of electric machines, power electronics, controls and systems simulation. Exponent's Phoenix Biomechanics staff uses engineering and biomedical science to explore the cause, nature, and severity of injuries. Electrical engineers with extensive expertise in a broad range of electrical electronics issues, investigate failures and potential risks of products, perform tests, and analyze results. Exponent's Fires & Explosions practice provides services in a wide array of engineering applications and problem-solving ranging from residential and vehicle fire analysis to the investigation of fires and explosions at chemical processes, petrochemical, manufacturing and other industrial facilities.Our Mechanical Engineering and Materials/Metallurgy staff provide clients with a thorough comprehension of current or potential designs to determine vulnerabilities before failures occur, develop appropriate mitigation methods, and provide post-failure investigations. Consultants review the reliability of processes and products for a variety of industries, including transportation, heavy industry, energy, and consumer products. Staff specializing in Technology Development , design and build prototypes, run tests, and develop and integrate cutting-edge commercial-off-the-shelf technologies in Exponent's Phoenix labs.
