
Ms. Carroll is a Registered Nurse and a Legal Nurse Consultant, and is responsible for organizing and reviewing medical records and other relevant healthcare and legal documents to assess issues of causation and physical damages, and then formulating a summarized chronology of the analyzed information. Additionally, she researches pertinent health care literature, standards, and guidelines and consults with engineers to provide education of the medical and healthcare related issues, as well as technical support.
While working at Exponent, Ms. Carroll has reviewed hundreds of medical records and provided medical chronologies, injury diagrams (for client education and trial exhibits), and Abbreviated Injury Scaling for numerous plaintiffs and defendants. She has provided medical record review for all types of injury cases, as well as medical device implant failure and toxic exposure cases.
Prior to joining Exponent, Ms. Carroll worked as the Patient Care Manager of Lankenau Hospital Emergency Department, where she was responsible for the nursing care provided to all emergency department patients. She also managed 45 employees, from interviewing and hiring through all phases of employment.
