
Mr. Desrosiers is a member of Exponent’s Civil Engineering practice where he is responsible for the Geotechnical Laboratory. In addition, he assists in sampling and logging exploratory trenches and borings, performs field data collection and data reduction, and prepares plans and drawings. He has experience documenting sites for distress analysis and assisting in preparation for testimony and trials. He has a wide range of experience from grading for single lots to hillside mass grading involving fill slopes, buttress keyways, canyon cleanouts, and sub-drain systems; observation and testing of compacted fill placement; and testing pile foundations and shoring. Mr. Desrosiers has performed geotechnical services for hospitals, airports, residential, commercial, government, marinas, and high-rise projects.
Mr. Desrosiers has over 27 years experience as a technician in the geologic and geotechnical engineering field. Project experience with Exponent’s Civil Engineering practice has included data collection for distress analysis of building structures, concrete slabs and pavements, foundations, retaining walls, and subsurface investigations including landslides. In addition, he provides computer drawing graphics for reports and trial exhibits.
