Handling Testing
At the TEC we have developed the facilities, equipment, and
experience for conducting and analyzing a wide variety of
vehicle handling tests, including rollover resistance, NHTSA fishhook,
and stability control tests.
The testing is conducted on site, utilizing our ten-acre skidpad
and two-mile oval test track. Immediate feedback of recorded
test data is provided by our custom handling test data acquisition
system. The Automated Steering
Controller can be installed if precise and repeatable
steering inputs are required.

We have experience with a wide array of
measurement sensors, including mechanical and solid-state
gyroscopes, mechanical, optical, and GPS velocity sensors, steering
angle and torque sensors, proximity sensors, and precision
accelerometers.[link]
Light-weight outriggers and other safety
equipment are available for the protection of the test
drivers.
