Ms. Dowd specializes in offering creative solutions to complex technical issues. She interprets technical information and synthesizes the information into visually compelling, accurate, informative, and simplistic graphics that are easily understood by audiences at both the technical and lay levels.

Ms. Dowd has designed newsletters, fact sheets, pamphlets, brochures, trade-show booths, demonstratives/exhibits, and presentation materials for interviews, public awareness meetings, and educational forums. Ms. Dowd is well versed in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat, and has a strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.

Ms. Dowd applied her skills and talents of taking something confusing or unintelligible into clear, clean, and consistent figures for the Cambridge University Press, 2013, “Oil in the Environment—Legacies and lessons of Exxon Valdez Oil Spill.
