Peter T. Liney
Managing Scientist
Chemical Regulation & Food Safety
  • Harrogate (UK)

Mr. Liney provides scientific and regulatory consultation to plant protection (Regulation 1107/2009), biocide (Biocidal Products Regulation) and industrial chemical (REACH) clients in the areas of chemical identity, physico-chemical properties and analytical method validation requirements. Mr. Liney has 18 years experience from within Exponent and a leading Contract Research Organisation. He has particular expertise in storage stability requirements for formulated products, monitoring method requirements, and the production of technical specifications (including FAO/WHO/JMPS) and technical equivalence submissions for active substances, and is a frequent attendee at the annual joint CIPAC/FAO/WHO meeting on pesticide specifications (JMPS). He also provides study monitoring and dossier preparation services.

Mr. Liney has significant practical experience of physico-chemical testing techniques, having been responsible for the supervision and co-ordination of ‘in-life’studies performed in accordance with GLP and established scientific guidelines (EC, OECD, OPPTS). He also has practical experience of the development, establishment, validation, and transfer of analytical procedures, to meet the requirements of regulatory guidelines (e.g., SANCO/3030/99 and SANCO/825/00).
