Mr. Kuhn addresses issues related to mechanical design, automotive engineering, vehicle system integration, performance, and testing. Mr. Kuhn is highly experienced in the design, development, and testing of vehicles and chassis systems for automotive and SUV applications. As a vehicle synthesis supervisor, Mr. Kuhn was responsible for overall vehicle development, performance, and field warranty issues. Mr. Kuhn also has extensive experience in computer-aided engineering and the use of analytical and statistical tools and methods for problem solving, vehicle system design, and vehicle performance evaluations.

Prior to joining Exponent, Mr. Kuhn was employed by Chrysler in a variety of engineering and supervisory positions including engine performance development, fuel and exhaust system development, and several positions within the Activity Vehicle (Jeep) platform including supervisor, Liberty Vehicle Development and Synthesis. Prior to that Mr. Kuhn served as the supervisor of the chassis investigations group for the DaimlerChrysler Vehicle Safety Office with responsibility for all chassis related internal and external (NHTSA) safety investigations. Prior to joining DaimlerChrysler Mr. Kuhn worked for the Ford Motor Company as an engine development engineer with responsibility for base engine durability and performance development. Mr. Kuhn has also worked as an independent engineering consultant on truck equipment and specialty vehicle designs.
