
Mr. Bronstein has over 20 years experience, private sector, in industrial hygiene and related services, including construction defect inspections and testing for fungi. Mr. Bronstein has assisted in the design and implementation of numerous exposure assessment studies that included diverse chemical and bioaerosol sources.
Mr. Bronstein’s exposure to industrial hygiene began with his Naval training in the late 1970’s while serving onboard the USS Midway’s Medical Department. During his tour on the USS Midway, Mr. Bronstein was assigned to Preventive Medicine, where his responsibilities included shipboard sanitation, pest control, water quality, and heat stress monitoring of naval personnel. At the conclusion of Mr. Bronstein’s active duty, he completed California State University’s Northridge Environmental and Occupational Health program. Upon graduation, Mr. Bronstein secured a position at an environmental and industrial hygiene consulting firm, MED-TOX, Inc. (MED-TOX) in Tustin, California. While at MED-TOX, Mr. Bronstein conducted asbestos surveys and consultations, indoor air quality testing, bio-aerosol testing, and traditional industrial hygiene exposure studies including the Alaska and Huntington Beach oil spills.
Prior to joining Exponent, Mr. Bronstein was the Owner of Safety Health West, where he designed and implemented Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Studies and conducted and supervised OSHA Compliance/Industrial Hygiene (IH) Surveys.
