Mr. Weidling has participated in multiple exposure simulation and dose reconstruction projects, where his duties included data collection and recording, oversight of other staff, and report writing. Mr. Weidling has worked on numerous other projects searching and interpreting scientific literature associated with asbestos, lead, and other industrial chemicals. He has also analyzed environmental data in support of human health risk assessments. As an undergraduate at University of California, Santa Cruz, Mr. Weidling worked as a research technician for the National Marine Fisheries Service performing data analysis and other technical tasks for various projects.

Asbestos Provided support on asbestos related litigation. Tasks included reviewing depositions, interrogatories, and other case related material to reconstruct the plaintiff’s exposure history.
Reviewed TEM, PCM, and other analytical air data from a variety of historical asbestos monitoring forms for various projects. Tasks involved reviewing and capturing data from hundreds of air monitoring forms for each of several projects.
Assisted in a controlled exposure reconstruction involving manipulation of an asbestos-containing product. Tasks included supervision of testing, analyzing data, creating figures and assisting in writing the report and manuscript for publication.
Reviewed and summarized case studies relating to idiopathic sources of mesothelioma.
Lead
Assisted in multiple controlled exposure reconstructions that involved handling potentially lead- containing products. Tasks included testing assistance, analyzing lab data and interpreting results.
Risk Assessment Assisted in risk assessments for contaminated sites. Tasks included calculating risks from soil gas and groundwater data for numerous chemicals, assessing whether chemical levels are different from background populations and assistance with writing the reports.
Other Provided major assistance for a large study analyzing factors that affect electro magnetic frequency exposure from cell phones. Tasks included conducting many days of extensive field operations, data collection, and data analysis. Shared joint responsibility for all of the data issues and organization on this project.
Summarized the various environmental, dietary, and lifestyle contributors to esophageal and lung cancers from the primary literature.
