Epidemiological Studies

Exponent health scientists apply epidemiology to examine and solve complex health issues in a variety of settings. Through the principles of epidemiology, we analyze the interaction of host, agent, and environment to reach conclusions about the causes and occurrence of disease in human populations. Our research staff combines the expertise of several medical specialties, exposure assessment professionals, and other scientists who have advanced degrees in statistics and public health. All of our physicians have graduate training in epidemiology and biostatistics.

Exponent epidemiologists have designed and conducted all major types of epidemiologic studies. Exponent biostatisticians and programmers are experienced in database design and sophisticated analytic techniques. Our industrial hygienists have conducted numerous exposure assessments for epidemiologic research. Our rigorous internal quality control programs, experienced project management, and strong technical background ensure that our research methods, as well as our findings, are sound and technically accurate. Our work satisfies the scrutiny of our clients, our peers, regulatory agencies, and the litigation process.
