Evaluated drug evidence in an investigation involving three different laboratory tests with different results on the same sample. Evidence was reviewed for validity of the analytical technique and relevance with respect to the drug pharmacokinetics and circumstances of the incident. Directed an evidence investigation of a residence with a clandestine methamphetamine lab using the red phosphorous method. Chemical evidence and the ventilation of the home was assessed for odor thresholds and dispersion of phosphine gas, acetone, and methamphetamine. Analytical testing data was reviewed for method validity and accuracy for describing the contamination levels of methamphetamine in the residence. Evaluated drug evidence for an accident investigation involving alcohol. Pharmacokinetic methods were used to determine the level of intoxication at the time of the accident. Supervised a risk assessment of offshore drilling mud waste for a client in the offshore oil industry. The project addressed bioavailability of Soluble Barium and Zinc. The project also involved working with the State of Louisiana to change the criteria of statewide order 29B. Supervised a risk assessment for oil well pit closures. The assessment involved reviewing data validity for site specific testing, and consideration of bioavailability of chemicals such as arsenic and benzene. The project also involved preparing comments regarding the proposed closure standards. Participated in the review and risk management of isofluorene in a laboratory setting. Work was conducted in a committee environment. Exposure scenarios were considered on an individual, chemical specific basis. The use of isofluorene by a pregnant woman working with a fume hood was assessed for reproductive toxicity. Risk management procedures were added to the MSDS file.
