Dr. Borden has extensive business management experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, provider and employer consulting, in the practice of academic medicine, hospital management, practice management, quality and outcomes management, and in the leadership of physicians. He has specific management experience in business case and value proposition development, health economics and outcomes research, health and productivity management, employee benefit design and incentives, workers’ compensation, medical disability, disability management, disease management software, third party payer systems, health data systems and analysis, medical technology assessment, and information systems for employers, purchasing coalitions, managed care plans and providers. His personal strengths include in-depth knowledge of health research and policy, and he has achieved Fellowships in the professional societies of physician executives, healthcare executives, radiology, pediatrics, medical quality and health value innovation. In his past position as Director, Employer Outcomes Research, Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems, Inc., he served as health care, data and outcomes research expert for the JJHCS Employer Team and J&J Corporate Headquarters. He worked with four J&J companies to develop their employer-centric business cases and value propositions for their products and services. He provided business intelligence and internal consulting to nine other J&J companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device sectors.
