Ms. Nissen-Meyer has global ecotoxicological experience in developing strategies and identifying data requirements to obtain pesticide registration within Europe and North America. She is currently responsible for evaluating ecotoxicological data, monitoring laboratory studies, and conducting environmental risk assessments according to EU legislation.
Prior to joining Exponent, she worked in the industry for 8 years in the Scientific and Regulatory Support group at FMC Corporation. She supported the global ecotoxicology activities required to develop and maintain registration of pesticides at both a national and regional level. This included being an active participant in the (re-) registration process for EU and EPA pesticide dossiers, conducting risk assessments, and acting as a study monitor for terrestrial wildlife, aquatic organisms, non-target insects, and non-target plant species.
Prior to joining FMC, she was with IDEA AG (biotech), where she gained experience in the conduct and monitoring of GLP mammalian toxicology studies. Ms. Nissen-Meyer was also responsible for the preparation of SOPs, toxicology profiles, expert safety reports, and MSDSs.
