
Mr. Linovitz's areas of expertise include automotive brake design and development, steering system components (ball joints, tie rods, knuckles, linkages, control arms, etc), accident reconstruction, and vehicle performance and evaluation methods. Mr. Linovitz is proficient at providing engineering presentations and has testified in fact witness and expert capacities.
He joined Exponent after working at Ford Motor Company for forty-three years as an automotive engineer. Mr. Linovitz’ initial assignment at Ford was in Testing Operations where he performed stress analysis and conducted laboratory tests involving cumulative fatigue damage, road load analysis, and vibration analysis. Later, the majority of Mr. Linovitz’ work was in the Light Truck Engineering Operations where his responsibilities included brake design and development, fuel systems design, and Light Truck vehicle development and evaluation. During the past 15 years at Ford, Mr. Linovitz worked in Design Analysis Engineering consulting on car and truck projects including rollovers, component performance, and component design and development.
