
Mr. Yildir has more than 10 years of experience in the construction industry specializing in education, municipal, commercial, and healthcare sectors. He has managed and coordinated major design and construction scopes including civil and structural, electrical and mechanical, utilities, permitting, testing, and closeout. He was involved with all phases of construction process on multiple projects from conceptual design thru occupancy, providing construction project management, project controls; project scheduling, document management, claims analysis and negotiations, as well as bidding and contract execution services to owners, contractors and construction management firms.
Throughout his career, Mr. Yildir has prepared analyses to support numerous construction claims and contractual disputes related to schedule delays, cost overruns, and loss of productivity. In addition, he has developed contemporaneous project schedules, performed detailed CPM schedule analyses, developed and tracked project issues, managed large documentation and data sets and analyzed as-built schedules to determine entitlement. He has participated in delay claim reviews for owners, presented findings and assisted clients with settlement negotiations.
Prior to joining Exponent, Mr. Yildir was a Project Manager at Kitchell Corporation, a large general contractor and construction management firm based in Arizona, providing construction management services to public sector clients.

Infrastructure
Natural Gas & Electric Utility, Oakland CA—Mr. Yildir provided project management services for one of the largest natural gas and electrical utilities in planning and coordinating design, permitting, testing and closeout of transmission line and distribution substation projects. He was also involved with the development and implementation of a capitol projects portfolio including enhance project controls, reporting tools and over 400 resource loaded project schedules.
Subway Extension Project, Fremont, CA—The project consisted of a mile-long subway beneath a recreational park, an embankment for future tracks, two ventilation structures and relocation of existing facilities. Mr. Yildir assisted the general contractor in project management and oversight services, such as performing productivity analyses, quantifying and assessing cost overruns, and developing production tracking tools and an associated database. In addition, Mr. Yildir helped prepare change orders and time extension requests.
Water Treatment Plant Expansion Project, Sunol Valley, CA—The project scope includes the expansion of the sedimentation and flocculation basins, construction of a new chlorine contact tank (CCT) and Treated Water Reservoir (TWR), new chemical feed system with tanks, standby generators, and fuel tanks; modifications to the existing facilities and upgrades to the existing electrical systems. Mr. Yildir assisted the client with the development of a baseline CPM schedule and impacted schedules along with narrative reports outlining the logic sequences. He has also performed detailed CPM schedule analyses and analyzed as-built schedules to determine delay entitlement.
Previous Project Experience
Education FacilitiesHigh School, San Mateo, CA—The project scope included 70,000-sf new construction, 220,000-sf modernization, and installation of 28 interim housing units and utilities. Represented owner with change order negotiations and managed to negotiate significant amount of change order claims through a rigorous settlement process.
Elementary School, Cupertino, CA—Portion of the $117 million bond program that included HVAC upgrades, BMS, fire alarm and communication systems, ADA and security upgrades, playground equipment, roofing, and landscaping. Mr. Yildir managed to successfully complete the project on time and under budget with only 2.5% contingency exposure.
K12 School Bond Program, San Jose, CA—School modernization program consisted of 46 schools, facilities, and special programs. Provided construction management services for multiple projects in design, bidding, and construction phases. Evaluated schedules and budgets while conducting program wide building code and DSA compliance reviews.
Elementary School, San Francisco, CA—23,500-sf full modernization project included three-story elevator tower, structural reinforcements, hazmat removal, ADA and Title 24 upgrades, installation of new EMS, fire alarm, and communication systems. Mr. Yildir was the on-site project manager supervising contractors, establishing phasing schedules, and managing budgets.
Student Housing Seismic Retrofit Project, Istanbul, Turkey—Seismic retrofit and restoration of a housing facility project that included base isolators and shear walls throughout structure. Determined structural damages due to earthquakes with city inspectors on site, and prepared reinforcement drawings.
Correctional Facilities
Juvenile Hall Facility, San Jose, CA—73,000-sf intricately phased project including extensive demolition of 180-bed housing facility and classrooms, construction of seven 30-bed housing units, assessment center and central plant. Tight site required extensive coordination and phasing, while facility remained operational during construction. Mr. Yildir assisted the Owner with delay claim analysis and prepared rebuttals and narratives resulting in significant savings during negotiations.
Municipal Facilities
Public Library, San Mateo, CA—90,000-sf, LEED Gold certified library project scope included 78,000-sf of underground parking, research labs, meeting rooms with audio-visual capabilities, and kitchen facilities. Mr. Yildir acted as the owner’s representative on site, managing project budgets and schedules, coordinating LEED certification process, performing quality inspections assuring contract compliance, collaborating with architects to resolve design issues and implemented web-based project management database, and executed change orders.
Police Station, Larkspur, CA—16,500-sf two story police facility with a foundation system designed specifically to resist extreme ground shaking and potential liquefaction from higher magnitude earthquakes. Designed to LEED Silver standards and exceeds energy efficiency of a similar building by at least 20% and includes on-site power through photovoltaic roof panels. Provided design management, LEED certification analysis, and conceptual estimating services.
Trade and Cultural Center, Istanbul, Turkey—Project consisted of a 400,000-sf complex including multiple buildings. Assisted Superintendent with daily crew schedules, gained experience establishing construction sites and resolving design issues on-site. Issued daily reports, prepared quantity takeoffs and RFIs.
Health Care Facilities
Hospital, Chicago, IL—Design-build replacement project consisted of a 500-bed, two-pavilion replacement facility that combined 22 clinical facilities from a 6 block area into a single building. Responsibilities included construction administration and architectural design. Member of the healthcare design group; creating 3D interior elements, issuing bulletins, submittal reviews, implementing AEC components to AutoCAD, and training architects with technology upgrades.
Commercial and Residential
Commercial Tower Renovations and Office Complex, Chicago, IL—Mr. Yildir managed multiple projects for a specialty contractor. Responsibilities included project scheduling, estimating, quantity takeoffs, processing RFIs, preparing shop drawings, drafting structural details and revisions with AutoCAD, verifying field measurements, as-built sketches, and fabrication inspections. Estimated multiple bid awards for metal decking and storefront systems exceeding $1 Million.
Residential Community, Istanbul Turkey—The project was designed with a 20 duplex housing community with 3D Models including optional interior designs. Worked with clients during the design process and negotiated with contractors on behalf of the owner.
