Professional Profile


Mr. Wong has both domestic and international experience in design and construction management of a variety of public infrastructure projects. Mr. Wong has developed project implementation schedules and prepared engineer’s cost estimates. His experience also includes conducting project investigation studies in which he has advised project owners in contract strategy, and assisted in permitting and securing public funding. In addition, he has coordinated multidisciplinary engineering teams in preparing contract documents for conventional construction contracts and specialized equipment procurement contracts. Further, he has conducted bids evaluations, analyzed bidders’ pricing strategies and recommended contract awards to project owners.

Mr. Wong has represented a project owner in supervising a major underground construction program. As part of resident engineering team, he has audited construction activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance and control policies, and statutory requirements. In addition, he has conducted change order and time extension evaluations, assisted in claims management and contract closeout, and participated in public consultations.

Prior to joining Exponent, Mr. Wong was a project engineer with Black & Veatch Corporation, a global engineering consultant, where he was responsible for design of strategic water conveyance systems and water, wastewater and reclaimed water treatment facilities in America and Asia.
