MENLO PARK, Calif., Feb. 01, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Exponent, Inc. (Nasdaq:EXPO) today announced that its Board of Directors has declared an increased quarterly cash dividend of $0.21 per share of common stock to be paid on March 24, 2017 to all common stockholders of record as of March 3, 2017.
“In 2016, we paid $18.8 million in dividends, repurchased $24.5 million of common stock and ended the year with $173.7 million in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments. We believe the increase in our quarterly dividend payment demonstrates our confidence in the sustainability of our long-term financial position and is another example of our ongoing commitment to deliver value to our shareholders,” said Dr. Paul Johnston, Chief Executive Officer.
Exponent has paid, and expects to continue to pay, quarterly dividends each year in March, June,September and December. Future declarations of quarterly dividends and the establishment of future
record and payment dates are subject to the final determination of Exponent's Board of Directors.
