Strategies for Supply Management in China during Travel Restrictions: Leveraging Exponent's Local Presence

As of March 13th, all Chinese and foreign personnel traveling to Shanghai from countries deemed high-risk for COVID-19 will be subject to isolation and observation for up to 14 days. The recent order from the Shanghai government identifies South Korea, Italy, Iran, Japan, France, Spain, Germany, and the United States, among other countries, as high risk.1

With China imposing quarantines on foreigners entering from high-risk countries, just as work at some factories is resuming, it may not be advisable to send domestic staff to manage supply-chain issues. Exponent’s presence in Shanghai and Hong Kong can be your eyes and ears on the ground when dealing with suppliers. Our services in Asia include factory visits and audits for procedures and quality control (QC), analysis of failed items in reliability testing, and advanced research.

Our experienced staff includes both technical and regulatory consultants knowledgeable in dealing with international supply chain and supply management issues worldwide.

We are here to help keep your business moving. Please reach out to Ray Huang and Daniel Vasquez in Asia and Steven Murray in the United States.
