ABA is hosting the 2019 Annual Meeting ABA Forum on Construction Law. This meeting and forum, “Dealing with Natural Disasters”, is designed to educated and prepare you for the worst so you can be at your best when it counts. Thought leaders from around the country will prepare lawyers to deal with every type of natural disaster. Topics to be discussed include: preparing for the disaster, insurance considerations before the event and claims recovery afterward, environmental risks that arise in mitigation, clean-up, and remediation, contract considerations to address well before the likelihood of the event, fraud and abuse in the aftermath, FEMA procedures and disaster recovery, and labor force issues at every level while operating in emergency circumstances. The forum will take place in Hollywood, Florida at The Diplomat Beach Resort.

Broz, P.E., LEED AP, MBA, senior managing engineer at Exponent, will be speaking on the panel The Things I Wish I Had Known Before the Disaster, on Saturday April 27th, starting at 9 a.m. This panel will discuss the issues that they did not see coming and how they worked through those tough issues and how you could do the same.
