The American Chemical Society (ACS) will hold its Fall 2022 Meeting August 21-25 in Chicago. ACS was founded in 1876, and is one of the world’s largest scientific organizations. Their vision is to “improve people’s lives through the transforming power of chemistry.” The Fall 2022 Meeting will feature keynote events, industry-specific programming, abstracts, networking, and more.

Exponent’s Christopher White, Ph.D., senior managing scientist, will give a presentation titled “Current and future perspectives for post-use solutions for plastic packaging” on Tuesday, August 23, at 10 a.m. Co-authored by Exponent’s Susan Driscoll, Ph.D., senior managing scientist, Donald Ripatti, Ph.D., senior scientist, Alexandra Steele, Ph.D., senior scientist, and Konrad Kulacki, Ph.D., managing scientist, Dr. White’s presentation will focus on the current reality and challenges in mechanical and chemical recycling of plastic packaging. Additionally, he will explore potential innovative solutions such as the photocatalytic degradation of packaging.

Marian Ponte, Exponent managing scientist, will also attend.
