Ms. Dyer is committed to connecting clients to the most appropriate scientist or engineer that will be able to assist them at any stage of their project. From new product development to failure analysis and health and environmental consulting, she is dedicated to helping each client find what they need efficiently and effectively.
For litigation matters, Ms. Dyer's failure analysis and deposition experience allows her to break down a complex matter and help our clients determine which consultant, or team of consultants, will be most beneficial and cost-effective for each case. Additionally, her hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing across multiple industries provides the necessary foundation to understand and troubleshoot technical challenges, and support our clients in the best way possible.
Ms. Dyer is a licensed professional metallurgical and materials engineer in Georgia and a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
She specializes in industrial processing and manufacturing, failure analysis, welding, and corrosion, as well as having a broad understanding of metallurgical and materials engineering. Her experience is directly related to steel, brass, and nickel processing, with particular emphasis on alloy precipitation behavior, investment and continuous casting solidification and solidification defects, as well as stress corrosion cracking (SCC), fatigue, and hydrogen embrittlement.
Prior to joining Exponent, Ms. Dyer has worked for both Nucor and Gerdau, as a Melt Shop Metallurgist and Process Engineer, where she gained knowledge in industrial processing and manufacturing techniques, in addition to environmental and mechanical effects on material processing. In addition to working within the steel industry, Ms. Dyer worked with Sandia National Lab, focusing on safety and reliability related to nuclear weapon gas transfer systems and components, as well as spending time with Chevron's Energy and Technology Company.
