Mr. Vale has engineering experience in machine design, failure analysis, and 3D CAD modeling. Mr. Vale also has a background in Project Management, including new product development, product lifecycle planning, and technological business strategy.

As part of his graduate studies at Georgia Tech, Mr. Vale obtained a concentration in dynamics, where he studied 2D and 3D kinematics of mechanical systems, Newtonian and Lagrangian mechanics, discrete analysis of vibrating mechanical systems, and robotics. Applications of his knowledge include projects concerning vehicle, gyro, and rotor dynamics. Mr. Vale is proficient in SolidWorks, MATLAB, and Simulink.

Prior to joining Exponent, Mr. Vale worked in the U.S. Naval Defense Industry where he gained valuable experience in both manufacturing and design. He interned at General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems, where he assisted in testing electrical and mechanical equipment for the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launching System (EMALS) and the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG). Mr. Vale also worked with PAR Marine- Jered LLC as a mechanical design engineer. In this role, he both designed and performed design validation for mechanical equipment such as heavy mounting brackets, hydraulic fittings, and various personnel elevator components for select U.S. Naval Ships.

As part of his Senior Capstone Design Project, Mr. Vale collaborated with PAR Marine and designed a Contactless Rudder Angle Indicator for use in U.S. Naval Steering Gears using 3D CAD, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Error Propagation Analysis (EPA).
