Dr Bland is a regulatory expert specialising in EU REACH Registrations (Regulation 1907/2006/EC); specifically, coordinating, preparing and submitting regulatory dossiers to the EU Authorities for a broad range of clients within the chemical industry. Dr Bland is responsible for the completion of these projects, providing technical and regulatory strategy and advice, and managing all aspects of the process to ensure successful acceptance of these complex regulatory submissions. This work includes completion of data gap analysis, preparation of the registration dossiers in IUCLID and generation of risk assessments using Chesar. In addition Dr Bland has specific experience of producing read across reports following the specific guidance from the European Chemicals Agency and determining the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures according to the CLP regulations ((EC) No 1272/2008).

Prior to joining Exponent, Dr Bland spent nine years working within the registration department of a leading UK-based contract research organisation, firstly on the notification of biocidal active substance dossiers under Directive 98/8/EC, and later specialising in EU REACH Registrations where she spent much of her time working on lead registration dossiers, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative requirements. In particular, Dr Bland has considerable experience evaluating and summarising scientific research and with critical analyses of dossiers prior to submission.
