Dr. Clayton works with clients and stakeholders to plan and execute large scale utility relocation projects, including developing and managing budgets and resource-loaded schedules. Dr. Clayton is responsible for all aspects of the relocations including contract and subcontract management, estimating, design coordination, procurement, change order management, and construction field supervision.

Prior to joining the Construction Consulting practice, Dr. Clayton specialized in the engineering investigation and prevention of fires and explosions as a member of Exponent’s Thermal Sciences practice. His research and investigation specialties included combustible dusts, wildland fires, natural gas and propane systems, cooking appliances, vehicles, and marine vessels.
