With nearly a decade of experience in the construction industry, Ms. Demartini has worked on many aspects of the construction industry. Her project management experience includes overseeing engineering, permitting and constructability issues from proposal phase to project completion. Working with important global clients in the infrastructure, oil and gas and industrial markets, she has developed collaborative working relationships.
Ms. Demartini has managed multi-disciplinary, international teams on challenging design-build contracts. She led the project team to adapt to the changing client needs and create efficient practices for managing high volumes of contract changes, design documentation and complicated permitting processes. Her experience with managing contract disputes, and providing schedule and financial oversight has been consistent throughout her career.
Beginning at the field level, she learned to manage construction crews to accomplish work on schedule and under budget. With a background in engineering and an understanding of contract management, she helped resolve multiple potential change orders prior to construction. From the management position, her understanding of field work enables her to advise the construction teams on project controls and contract management.

Infrastructure – Structures & Civil
Beginning at a large-scale NATM tunnel project on CA Hwy 1, Ms. Demartini gained experience working with federal, state, and regional environmental monitoring agencies, establishing job standards and compliance requirements. In the field, she supervised the crews’ completion of tunnel excavation and the tunnel entrance’s concrete cut and cover structures. Coordinating with the architects and owners, she managed ongoing design changes, regulating agencies’ evolving requirements, and construction coordination among disciplines. Tracking crew operations, associated costs, Primavera schedules, and contract changes have been a consistent part of her industry practice.
Industrial - Oil & Gas
Ms. Demartini led the project controls team on a large EPC, oil and gas project in the Alberta Oil Sands. Overseeing the financial analysts, document control system and cost/quantity engineers, she set up project controls systems for the project. Working with valuable industrial clients, she developed collaborative partnering relationships.
Infrastructure – Bridge & Highway
Experienced with managing construction contracts and resolving disputes, Ms. Demartini worked on the first Public Private Partnership project in Northern California. Advising the claims department, she performed detailed analysis of project issues, delays and cost variances by contractors, designers and concessionaires. She participated in dispute resolution forums and partnering meetings. Working with 4D scheduling and building information modeling, she developed a tool for planning full highway closures with the project partners, local law enforcement agencies, and the affected public.
