Mariana Garcia, Ph.D., PMP

Managing Scientist
Biomedical Engineering
Menlo Park

Dr. Garcia combines a multidisciplinary education and work experience with extensive project management experience.

Dr. Garcia leverages her educational background in biomedical engineering and vision science to support a wide variety of clients in both litigation and product development spheres. Her particular focus areas at Exponent include ocular health, hearing health, women's health and FemTech products, and orthopedics.

She has experience with quantitative and perceptual assessment of ocular health, evaluation of risks associated with exposure to high pressure ultrasound, evaluation of interaction between materials and tissues (including in vitro cell and tissue assays), animal models of disease, management and execution of systematic literature reviews, and preclinical test protocols

Dr. Garcia holds a bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering from the Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in Vision Science from the University of California at Berkeley. She is an accredited Project Management Professional and is especially skilled at managing extended duration projects and programs that span multiple geographies and technical disciplines.
