Mr. Gorski has over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, including cost estimating; project management; business management; project controls management; and information management on government, nuclear power, telecommunications, and petroleum projects. Mr. Gorski has held various positions throughout his career at Bechtel Corporation. His last position was Principal Vice President and Manager of Corporate Project Controls, a position he held for over seven years.
In his last role, Mr. Gorski oversaw all global Project Controls activities for Bechtel, which included cost engineering, scheduling, and estimating. In addition, he was responsible for providing technical direction and functional leadership to personnel assigned to all global business units.
Throughout his career, Mr. Gorski has held positions on large and complex projects, including cost engineer, scheduling engineer, technical services manager, and project controls manager, among other senior roles. In the nuclear industry, Mr. Gorski has served as Technical Services Manager for Bechtel Power Corporation and has been responsible for management direction of home office and field costs, schedule, and estimating activity on the Diablo Canyon, Limerick, Hope Creek, and Susquehanna nuclear projects.
Similarly, Mr. Gorski was responsible for management direction of cost, schedule, and estimating activity for Bechtel National projects at Savannah River, Defense Waste Processing Facility, Weapons Vault, and Chem. Demil. Mr. Gorski later transitioned to project controls responsibilities for Bechtel National in its Launch Complex 40 project, heading up all Project Controls activities for the home office and field. He was also responsible for all contractual issues and business management processes for the project, including change order development and negotiations involving approximately $50M in scope changes.
Prior to Mr. Gorski’s last assignment, he served as Vice President and Manager of Project Controls and Project Systems for Bechtel Systems & Infrastructure and was responsible for project controls across a portfolio of projects for several business lines.
