Mr. Hakam has experience with site construction on a variety of building projects. His current work at Exponent includes data analysis and transcription.
Prior to joining Exponent, Mr. Hakam received his M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, to complement his B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from the Lebanese American University. His specialization in his master’s program was Engineering and Project Management. He took courses related to lean construction, advanced project planning, law for engineers, life cycle analysis, and sustainable resource economics.
Mr. Hakam worked as a civil engineer with a construction company in Lebanon. His responsibilities included construction site supervision of the rehabilitation of a historical building in Northern Lebanon, producing shop drawings and producing weekly and monthly reports submitted to project owners. He also worked as an intern on a hospital and integrated health center construction project in Doha, Qatar. He assisted the site engineers and planning team by tracking construction progress on assigned sections on the site and updating the construction schedule using Primavera P6.
